| The journals are hand-bound with tidy exposed stitching. Though the covers are identical cuts of warm brown leather, the stitching on Dipper's is his signature blue, while the one on Mabel's is a rainbow ombre. The journals are heavily enchanted to be waterproof, fireproof, and resistant to tearing, and the thread binding is similarly enchanted to be nigh-unbreakable. The paper inside is a light and warm shade of off-white, and each page comes with an illustration of a person, that person's name, and a brief description. |
Stanley You know him. He was here in Deerington and Trench with us for more than a year, but he's returned to the sea since then. He opened the Murder Hut while he was here, so check there to see if he's returned. (And if he has, don't let him trick you into paying admission.) |
Stanley (Younger) Stanley, but younger. He disappeared not long after he first came here, but he was happy to know both of you. |
Fiddleford The same Fiddleford you know. He doesn't remember everything, but he's still trustworthy. Try to not stress him out too badly. |
Ruby A close friend to all four of us. Extremely reliable and trustworthy. Everyone from Remnant has significant combat skills, so call her if you're in danger. She'll do anything if you bribe her with sweets. |
Oscar Dipper's boyfriend. Very reliable and wise far beyond his years. He's always tried to look out for all of us. He'll feed you if you let him (which you should). Remnant. |
Glitch A family friend. Rough around the edges, but don't let that fool you. Keep the fridge stocked with spare snacks if he's around. |
Willow A family friend. Extremely trustworthy. She's a witch and a scientist and excels at both. If you don't know who else to go to, go to her. |
Qrow Ruby's uncle. Shy, but highly reliable. If you can't reach Ruby, call him. If you encounter a suspiciously intelligent crow, it's Qrow in disguise. Remnant. |
Ozpin Oscar's mentor (kind of). He can be confusing, so speak to me or Ruby before speaking to him. He'll give you hot chocolate. Remnant. |
Xerxes Break Close to Qrow. Dipper helped exorcise his house. Trustworthy. Likes tea. |
Falco A friend of Dipper's. You assisted him with demonic possession, once. |
Alice Mabel's friend. Break's niece. (?) Likes cats. She'd be right at home in Gravity Falls, I think. |
Alice Mabel's friend. Also Alice? I'm afraid I don't know these two very well. |
Luna Another witch and long-term resident. She hosted a baking contest that Dipper won. |
Dib A weird young man around your age. He'd also be right at home in Gravity Falls. |
Usagi She's something like a superhero. She's very kind and friendly, and she beat Bill in a 1-on-1 fight. |
Varian A family friend and Stanley's new arch-rival. Disappeared from the town a while ago, but if he's here you can trust him. |
Fern A family friend, especially close to Stanley. Varian's boyfriend. He's very rowdy, but he's not in town anymore. |
Syaoran Dipper's friend. Gullible, but a good kid. Never made it to Trench. |
Sakura Dipper's friend. Close to Syaoran. Never made it to Trench. |
Ritsuka Dipper's friend. Sarcastic, but not a bad person. Never made it to Trench. |
Shiro A long-term resident and trusted by many in the city. Stanley liked messing with him. |
Cynthia Sodder The Moon Presence. She may seem frightening, but she's gentle and kind. |
| The final few pages include descriptions of the family pets, the ghost Pines, directions to the family home and the Murder Hut, a Vigenère square, and the key for Atbash and Ceasar ciphers. The final page contains only the following: ![]() Lprvwkme aw vw, ji yd bbkwiprv - wkma mx xb gecta fset ws yk p eumdt bb gsiku yh. - Stanford |
