Mr. Ford.

I didn't get a chance to thank you for helping with everything that's happened recently. I'm not sure if Oz would have been quite the same if he didn't have someone he trusted that wasn't from home around. It's probably hard for him to relax when we're all in danger, I think.

If you've got time, I'd like to ask advice from you on robotics. For a friend. Nothing big.

Thanks

-Oscar

[...It was him. He's the friend. It was only a leg, nothing big.]

Oh, not much.

I'm better at automotive repairs and basic handyman skills than robotics, so I'm looking for input on how... say, a jointed leg would be put together. I know they're delicate and complicated, but I'm trying to make this as simple as possible...

What? NO!

[Backtracking...]

It's for me. I was trying not to be too obvious...

um. Yes?

[Seeing how this could be problematic for Oz, Oscar quickly elaborated. ]

The Grimm are drawn to strong, negative emotions. It got so bad that the kingdom of Mantle decided to outlaw all of the arts before war broke out, to protect it's people from the Grimm.

It didn't last after that war, but it's part of why so many of us are named after color, and why color is important to us.

The people running Mantle didn't know if it would work. They thought that banning self expression would keep people calmer, less agitated, and easier to keep safe.

They didn't win, and the King of Vale abolished both the monarchy system and helped build Mantle under a new name.

Atlas.

But, Mr. Ford. I didn't message you to talk about history unless you really want a crash course from a guy who crammed for the tests.

[A conversation with Oz could go in any direction... ]

I'm keeping an open mind. I'm better with basic mechanics, not complex engineering like this, so I'm open to ideas.

My plan is to get what info I can find and bring it to Ruby. She's a genius with machines... And I feel like it would be good for her.
