Ford calls it 'his room', but when he steps inside and turns on the light it looks more like an office or a study partially merged with a library. There's a desk and a long couch with attached nightstands, but the rest of the walls are lined with bookshelves and chalkboards. Though the room is clean - there's no laundry or trash strewn about - it's not what could be called tidy. Despite the bookshelves being mostly full there are piles of books stacked on the desk, the couch, the nightstands, and even directly on the floor. The desk is covered with paper and pens while the chalkboards are covered with calculations, lists, the occasional doodle, and what looks to be a partially completed map of Deerington.
The only concessions to the fact that someone supposedly lives in here are the pillow and blanket on the couch and the fact that the desk chair is one of the few flat surfaces that's totally clear of books and paper. But despite the clutter and academic chaos, it has a cozy air to it. The furniture and floors are both wood, and all of the fabrics and upholstery are in medium, slightly desaturated tones. It looks distinctly lived in, and the smell of paper fills the room.
