CORRUPTION

Stage 1

Ford becomes grumpy and distrustful and begins to keep even odder hours than usual. At this point, it's difficult to tell the difference between corruption and mild sleep deprivation.

Stage 2

Ford becomes even grumpier. Distrust has escalated to flat out paranoia and Ford is increasingly prone to locking himself in his laboratory. Occasionally, his irises flicker from brown to a bright, lurid yellow, during which his pupil go from round to snake-like slits.

Stage 3

Ford's bad mood has faded. He is now cheerful, energetic, and sociable, eager to share his thoughts and discoveries with those around him. However, there is an edge of mania and forcefulness to his behavior and a touch of meanness to his sense of humor. He's getting less than half his amount of usual sleep. His eyes regularly flicker between brown and yellow.

Stage 4

Ford's mania is more intense and the meanness to his sense of humor more pronounced. He is getting only 1-2 hours of sleep a night. He notices pain less frequently and finds it funny when he does. His eyes are now yellow the majority of the time, but flicker back to brown in moments of clarity.

Stage 5

Ford's mania hits its peak. He is now passionately, violently curious and his sense of ethics had vanished completely. He will stop at nothing to investigate and understand anything or anyone he finds interesting. Pain is more amusing to him now, to the point that he will inflict mild to moderate injuries on himself for the sake of fun. He has stopped sleeping entirely. His eyes are now solidly yellow and no longer flicker back to brown.
